About This Station

This PWS was installed July 2, 2022. The station is powered by an Ambient Weather WS-2000 weather station located about 3.4 miles northeast of The Plaza in Santa Fe, NM. The Web Site went live about November 22, 2022. The Web Site is best viewed on a personal computer with a Firefox web browser, although other browsers, tablets and smartphones will work. The menu items will be difficult to read on a smartphone. Most links to external sites will open in a new tab.

The indoor console receives wireless wind speed, direction, rainfall, temperature, humidity, UV and Solar Radiation from the outdoor sensor array, and barometric pressure, humidity and temperature from the indoor sensor. The console combines measured parameters with calculated data, such as 'Feels Like' Temperature (Wind Chill and Heat Index), Dew Point, Wind Speed and Direction (averaged once per second over 16 seconds), Gust (the maximum wind speed sampled once per second in the 16 second update period), 10 Minute Wind Speed and Direction Average, Sunrise, Sunset and Moon Phase. The station includes an Ambient Lightening Detector.

This is NOT professional equipment. Data for the Web site is collected every 60 seconds and the site is updated every 5 minutes. Data on this site is collected using API Keys from Ambient Weather Network and Weather Underground. See also "About This Website" below.
